Add a spark of creative joy to your life by experiencing professionally crafted, fun art lessons where diversified, simple instructions help guide you through the completion of a unique art piece.

Each “concept based” art lesson provides a strong “jumping off point” in which to begin, but unstructured in the art making process, allowing for varied choices to be made by each individual no matter your experience or skill level. Sign up for a weekly course and/or our stand-alone event workshops and discover something new every time!

ENROLL IN OUR 2025 WINTER/SPRING WEEKLY CLASSES

16-WEEK COURSES / January 7 to May 6. (Closed the week of Easter).
2025 Winter/Spring Session payment for the first month’s tuition will be processed upon enrollment.
The second months billing will be February 4th, 2025.
A non-refundable, ONE-TIME Registration fee of $35 is due per family upon enrollment for 2025. This fee is good for the year, until December 31,2025.

Tuition Fees below are shown per month and will be processed every 4 weeks after the first month’s start of class.

OPEN STUDIO (18-Adult)

Seasoned Hands Open Studio –

The Hands Create Open Studio is a 2 hour block of time where self-motivation and independence are required. Adult artists can work on individual projects in a fun, light-filled space alongside other creatives, where inspiration, comradery, sharing of ideas and techniques are naturally manifested through impromptu critiques. Although there will be a Hands Create Art Instructor in the room as a facilitator, there will be no formalized instruction.  One must register for the entire course online, but will only be billed monthly. Therefore one may cancel anytime with a 30 day notice.

Supplies are NOT included.

ART V- SEASONED HANDS -Winter/Spring 2025 Multi-Media Course (18-Adult)

Engage Your Creative Flow
Step into a world of artistic exploration and Engage Your Creative Flow! Our Winter/Spring 2025 Art V Multi-Media course for adults invites artists of all levels—from curious beginners to seasoned creators—to discover new possibilities in fine art and fine craft. Under the guidance of a Hands Create Instructor, you’ll dive into exciting techniques and alternative materials, working on surfaces that encourage fresh, imaginative approaches to art-making. This course offers hands-on experiences with a range of materials and methods, from vibrant paint mediums and pastels to unique practices like painted paper collage, illuminated lantern design, and more. Each lesson is thoughtfully designed to include essential art elements and principles of design, enriched with insights from art history, world cultures, and aesthetic theory. As you explore diverse techniques, you’ll be encouraged to experiment and develop your personal artistic voice—infusing your art with your own unique perspective and imagery. Whether you’re desire is to learn something new or to refine your skills, this course promises an inspiring environment for everyone. And best of all, all supplies are included, so you can jump right into the creative flow! Join us for a season of possibility and exploration.

CEU CREDITS FOR TEACHERS!

Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education and the NC Board of Education credits teachers CEUs (Continuing Education Units) who take a course!

FAQ

If you must miss a class, you must notify Hands Create of the cancellation via email at least 24 hours before the missed class in order to be given the opportunity to schedule a make up, if an alternate class is available. You will only be given (1) make up per session for any cancellations. Art III and Art IV do not have make-ups!

Yes if space is available for WORKSHOPS OR EVENTS ONLY. You must enroll online for any classes, no walk-ins are allowed. Tuition for 2024 Fall Session is billed every 4 weeks. The 12-week long classes will be prorated after the first week from the start of billing.

The 2025 Winter/Spring Session requires a one-time $35 per family registration fee for all 2025 students.  This fee is good for all of 2025, no matter how many classes you take. The registration fee is processed upon enrollment and guarantees your spot in the class. Registration fees are non-refundable.

The 12-Week Fall session course tuition for Wee Hands, Art I to IV is billed every 4 weeks starting September 1st.  Art V tuition will be billed 30 days prior to start of class. Tuition fees cover professional fine arts instruction and supplies for project based lessons with art history, aesthetics, and art skills woven together seamlessly for an incredibly fun experience!

Tuition refunds are available, but due to maintaining class scheduling, waitlists and the purchase of supplies for the course, refunds are limited as follows:

  • Over 30 days before start of class – 100% refund
  • 30-14 days before start of class – 50% refund
  • No refunds for weekly sessions classes less than 14 days before start of class.

There is a 10% sibling discount for the 2nd+ sibling at the time of enrollment. No Multi-Class discounts.

For Wee Hands, Art I to IV Fall Class sessions you will not be billed for the first months tuition until September 1st. Monthly billing will be processed every 4 weeks after the 1st of September. Art V classes will be processed on August 10th, 30 days before the start of class.

You will not be charged for the week Thanksgiving due to being closed for the holiday.
